Back from Cape Cod

We just returned from Cape Cod.  All the watercolors are from the cottage where we stayed.  The pen and inks are from the National Seashore,

the cottage and some of our favorite places.  I am always inspired by the sea and skies of the cape….the colors and light

Graham’s Garden

Graham's Garden

This garden is one of my favorite places …….it has evolved over time with plantings of bamboo, stones that stand like garden spirits…green shady and quiet.   The massive trees that shade the garden are sugar maples.  Enjoy your visit =)

Micron Pen on watercolor paper 3.5 x 5.5 pocket sketch book.

The jack in the pulpits are pushing up, dog tooth lilies are rolling out their carpet on the forest floor, trillium and mayapples are here…..early spring wild flowers come and go so quickly….  Warmer days, time for nature journaling =)

This tree grows out of rock….just near my home…where I walk my dog…..

This drawing was done with a black micron pen…while sitting on the hood of my old volvo…a nice break from a busy afternoon =)
