I am beginning a watercolor of a beautiful apple tree branch in full bloom. I haven’t done a new big piece in a while…I decided to share it step by step. These first tissues are of the blossoms which I must capture in the first few days as they deteriorate quickly. Here are my first two tissues….and a quick color study……more coming soon. Hope you enjoy watching my process :)
This garden is one of my favorite places …….it has evolved over time with plantings of bamboo, stones that stand like garden spirits…green shady and quiet. The massive trees that shade the garden are sugar maples. Enjoy your visit =)

I enjoy the magnolia at the end of summer when the petals are gone, the red drupes show in all their beauty and the leaves turn a beautiful golden brown. This is one of my color pencil drawing, image size 7″x7″ …enjoy
This lovely little magnolia pod was from Lasdon Arboretum..
